Carencro Band Parent Committees
These are the committees available for parents to join. To join a committee, a parent needs to contact Phyllis Chiasson by email (go to contact us) or Michelle Richard by phone. After you have contacted Phyllis or Michelle, your name and contact information will be forwarded to the committee chairperson and he or she will contact you.
Each committee has a specific job to help the band preform at its peak. Each committee is dedicated to helping the entire band although some specific elements of the band may require special projects or help at some times in the year.
Awards / Banquet Committee -- to plan the awards banquet in the spring
Band Camp / Special Practice Days Committee -- to be there and set up drinks, food, and provide First Aid
Chaperone Committee -- to provide chaperones for away games and festivals
Concessions Committee -- to work concessions at home varsity, JV or freshman football games
Communications & PR Committee -- to get information to parents and community
Equipment Committee -- to load, set up, and unload trailer at games and festivals
Fund Raising Committee -- to plan, organize and run fund raisers for the band
Rah! Rah! Committee -- to make small items and treats for the band to keep them spirited and excited
Uniform Committee -- to organize the uniforms and be sure that they are put away properly
We will set up special work groups as projects arise. We will soon be setting up a uniform restructuring group and a wall cleaning and painting group to name just two. You can sign up for those by sending an email or making a phone call to the names listed above.
